Profile Information

What is your interest in the CreativesDC beta community?
Most people who know me, know that I am a talker. Not only do I talk a lot, I also happen to talk very fast and with a lot of enthusiasm. When I heard about an entrepreneurial community of creative people, I felt like a dream of mine had come true. I thrive on enthusiasm and believe anything is possible if you surround yourself with positive, forward thinking and creative minded people. I also believe that everyone is creative in their own way and I find it interesting to learn about all different types of creativity. I hope to meet people who share my love for the arts and entrepreneurship and who, above everything else, want to leave their mark on the world and on those they love. Most of all, I love making new friends, sharing ideas and learning new things. So far, being a part of this community has opened my eyes to may new things and inspired me very much.
Bio (html accepted)
I love to think, but hate to over-think. I love dresses and bright colors. I LOVE people who do not take no for an answer, when they really want something. I love to Dance and sing and hear beautiful music. I have the widest range of musical taste of anyone I know. Most people who really know me, know that I very much a Cancer ( and yes, I do believe that there is something to astrology) and that I absolutely feel alive when there is a full moon. Those who love me appreciate my crazy, loud and vibrant personality and describe me as a "good kind of crazy." I come up with new ideas every day and believe that anything is possible. My parents came to this country with nothing have showed me that anything IS possible. I talk to everyone: in elevators, on the street, on the metro and anywhere else it feels right. Simple saying " hello" has changed my life so many times that I never hesitate to meet someone new. So hello to you! Hopefully you say hello back.

The time I screamed "Penis" at Santa Clause. Seriously.

I have always been a bit different. Having a lot of friends did not change the fact that I never really felt like I belonged. I went to all the school dances and had boyfriends. I was always happy growing up and had a lot to do, many dreams and a killer ability to tackle any challange. I do not remember ever wanting anything and not finding some way to get it.

As I have gotten older I realized that all of my passions and dreams were in fact dragging me down. I wanted too many things and I did n… Continue

My Dark Green Swing

The other day, my little niece Felice and I were sitting on my porch swing. The swing is dark green. Despite the fact that it is my least favorite shade of green, the swing is one of my favorite things in this world. I love the old rusty dark green swing because of all the memories that come to mind when I look at it, sit on it, swing on it. I remeber the time that my boyfriend and I were laughing so hard that we flipped the swing over and broke it into ten different pieces. I remember the time… Continue

More Options More Problems

I do not know why I am so surprised that having more options creates more problems.
I should expect that too many options would be overwhelming. I have a marketing degree for god's sake! I remember doing a case study where there were 25 different kinds of jams and the market research was supposed to figure out whether or not 25 was too many. So they had two tables. One table had all 25 flavors, while the other had only 2. The case study reported that most people got so overwhelmed with the 25 op… Continue
