What is your interest in the CreativesDC beta community?
I am eager to use my passion for both art and community building/planning to improve the quality of life for folks of all backgrounds and throughout all Wards in DC.
How are you using your imagination and original ideas to enrich our economy and culture in DC, and beyond? Or, how would you like it to?
I currently perform with Washington Improv Theater, have taught improv to underserved youths, am a founding board member of Fihankra Akoma Ntoaso (www.fan-dc.org), and am involved in community building efforts both on (www.greatergreaterwashington.org) and off-line.
Bio (html accepted)
I've been working in the book industry for over 10 years, spending the last 4 with a local academic publisher. After living in the Northeast DC neighborhood of Woodridge for 3 years, where I ran the blog stop, blog and roll, I decided to formalize my passion for grassroots community building and planning by pursuing a Masters in Community Planning at UMD.
I currently live in the Shaw neighborhood of DC and contribute to Greater Greater Washington. When not attending community, civic association, and/or ANC meetings, I spend my free time performing with Washington Improv Theater.
